Today 24 year old professional Storm Chaser Andy Gabrielson passed away after he was struck head on by a drunk driver on the Turner Turnpike near Tulsa Oklahoma. I think its important to point out that this was in no way related to Storm Chasing and Gabrielson was returning home from a chase at the time. Storm Chasers are currently lighting up SpotterNetwork a GPS enabled storm chasing report icon in a storm chaser like candle lit vigil. Earlier tonight the Storm Chasers positioned themselves to form the letters AG, Andy Gabrielson’s initials. Andy leaves behind a daughter.
