It has been confirmed that Sean Casey’s TIV and Josh Wurman’s DOW 7 will be chasing together for parts of 2012 and was announced at ChaserCon this year. Most of the TV shows stars with the exception of one, Reed Timmer are very happy to have the show cancelledso that they can get back to the science of Storm Chasing. Many of those on the show were very upset they had to keep Discovery’s crew in tow with
them often getting in the way and directing the actions for more photogenic and drama filled shots rather than making it about the science. Reed Timmer seems to be just about selling his videos loved the drama on the show as his videos that he sells are often full of drama and him screaming like a woman in the bedroom. The show funded his antics and toys that are useless to science, his ‘quadcopter’, ‘vertical radar’ Dominator 1 and Dominator 2 (which both aren’t payed off) are just gimmicks to make him look like hes about the science according to other chasers and meterologists at the ChaserCon convention.
But the good news, the folks that are mature and actually gather scientific data are going to be chasing together again after Discovery Channel cancelled Storm Chasers. Sean Casey’s TIV and Josh Wurman’s DOW 7 will be chasing together for 5 weeks this season. Hopefully they will be able to gather some great scientific data without all the unnecessary drama involved.
